设定资料（中文）：为了掌握强大力量而改造身体的改造型数码兽。继被改造成对空用的「百万龙兽」之后，金属巨龙兽作为用于对地迎击数码兽而被改造。强化的身躯可以反弹所有攻击，强韧的下颚拥有无论多硬的装甲都能咬碎的惊人攻击力。必杀技是右臂发射的导弹「千兆破坏炮II」和左臂发射的能量弹「核子激光」。

设定资料（日文）：強力なパワーを身につけるため体を改造したサイボーグデジモン。対空用に改造された「メガドラモン」につづきメタルティラノモンは対地用迎撃デジモンとして改造された。強化されたボディーはあらゆる攻撃を跳ね返し、強靭な顎でどんなに硬い装甲でも砕いてしまう凄まじい攻撃力をもつ。必殺技は右腕から発射されるミサイル『ギガデストロイヤーⅡ』と左腕から発射されるエネルギー弾『ヌークリアレーザー』。

注释：Tyrannosaurus，暴龙。又名「霸王龙」，目前唯一的有效种是模式种雷克斯暴龙（Tyrannosaurus rex）或称雷克斯龙。

英文版介绍：A Metal Tyranomon appears under the command of Devimon, and interrupts the battle between Yagami Taichi"s Greymon and Orgemon. Orgemon sacrifices himself to fight against Metal Tyranomon in the end. Metal Tyranomon is then destroyed by the newly-evolved Perfect-level Metal Greymon with his attack, Giga Storm.

Metal Tyranomon makes a cameo in "The Angels" Determination", as Tailmon explained that Devimon studied evolution, specifically the evolution to reach a great power defying the laws of nature, with said Digimon being a product of it.
